Situated in South East Victoria, Grandeur Stud was formed in 2000 and has been producing quality show ponies and Arabian derivatives for many years. Frank and Anthony Cincotta firstly started producing and showing Arabian derivatives, many of the show team which comprised of both Anglo and Arabian Riding Ponies winning some of the most prestigious of accolades.
The early show team comprised of the two extremely well performed saddle horses namely, Burren-Dah Jackson and Burren-Dah Rosie's Choice whom were both purchased at the same time in 1997. Jackson whom was shown at many local and interstate shows and was Top Five Australian National Anglo Arabian Gelding under Saddle at the Australia National Championships two years running and also placed highly in his Novice and Open Galloway Classes at the Melbourne Royal Show. Whilst Rosie's Choice has been Supreme Champion Saddle Horse at many state and interstate shows including the Australian National Championships where he claimed the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Anglo Arabian Derivative Gelding under Saddle title.
New additions to the show stables included, Burren-Dah Namatjira, and Burren-dah Jacarlia whom continued to succeed in all aspects of there saddle careers whom all are Australian National Champions and Royal Show Winners. More recently, the additions to our in-hand show team comprised of the Australian National Arabian Riding Pony Runner-up filly Janevelyn McBeal. †A more recent saddle career for the lovely Falconhurst World Class saw her Top Ten Newcomer at the 2006 Barastoc Horse of the Year and 2006 VAS Ltd Saddle Horse Titles.
The stud in more recent times has been establishing a foundation of producing quality riding ponies and Arabian derivatives for the show ring which in turn saw the purchase of the stud's foundation colt "Janevelyn Hearts On Fire" (Weston Mirage x Glyndebourne Minelli) †whom was purchased in October 2003 as a weanling from Mrs. Janette Crutchfield of Janevelyn Stud. Well known by all as Diesel, he has exceeded all expectations during his illustrious show career.
The stud is expecting its first crop of foals in 2006 by Hearts on Fire and is looking forward to continuing its breeding program and expanding over the coming years, establishing a reputation of producing quality Arabian Derivatives and Riding Ponies now and into the future.
